Feel the wind in your hair and the salty breeze in your face as you sail aboard what feels like your own private yacht. WE ARE HAPPY TO BE OFFERING THIS YOGA CRUISE IN CONJUCTION WITH LINDSEY PORTER OF YOGANUU
Find out more about Lindsey
With over 10 years + yoga teaching experience Lindsey loves sharing and spreading the benefits yoga can bring to all minds and bodies is one of my greatest passions in life. Yoga is about embracing & accepting who you are – on and off the mat and in the community.
Exploring boundaries and finding new edges whilst keeping it real. I found yoga in my 20s helped me keep balanced in my banking career. Now in my 40s I dedicate my time to sharing the benefits yoga can bring with others, including kids, adults and people in care homes.
I also enjoy writing and have had articles about yoga and wellbeing published in OMYoga magazine, Yoga Magazine and the Huffington Post. I’m also the co-creator of YEDTalk podcasts [www.yoganuu.com/yed-talks] – the pioneering series of podcasts sharing yoga insights around the world, listened to in over 50 countries and I co-host a weekly radio show on Stirling City Radio sharing the benefits of yoga.
How would I describe my style of Yoga teaching?
Whilst my teaching training follows the Akhanda Hatha more traditional style of yoga from India, I like to incorporate elements from other styles as well as magic of mantra and chanting. Typically in one of my yoga classes, I will guide you though a combination of postures (asanas) breathing exercises (pranayama) and relaxation/internal focus techniques as well as incorporating aspects of NLP into the classes.
Yoga is a non-competitive activity which exercises the mind, body and improves breathing. It promotes balance, core stability, strength and flexibility, alongside encouraging us to make space to absorb the benefits of our practice. All this can help to re-energise and rejuvenate ourselves.
My teaching is suitable for the complete beginner up to intermediate level. My personal yoga journey has had its ups and downs and continues to help me explore boundaries in many ways. I love the saying “My yoga. It doesn’t matter if things aren’t perfect. My practice is my time to feel alive, loved and free…Yoga is not about mastering the postures. It’s about using your practice to understand and transform yourself’.
What Yoga pose would I most liken to myself to and why?
At this point in my life it would have to be the Camel pose/Ustrasana.
Why? Because I feel the pose is a continual movement exploring flexibility in any particular moment and at the same time requires an open chest and heart to keep true to the asana/pose. Like a camel I am traversing lifes humps and bumps, exploring my vulnerabilities and embracing the yogic path. Namaste.

This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides take you to see the centre of the city including Constitution Square (Syntagma), the Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Panathenaic Stadium (where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896), the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. At the Acropolis we visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and, finally, the monument that ‘puts order in the mind’, the Parthenon. You will start your morning with your sunrise yoga session. The ship will sail through magnificent Samos Strait heading to the lovely port of Kusadasi. Arrival in Kusadasi is at 11:30 and then you are free to explore the city, famous as the entry-point for the remarkable archaeological site of Ephesus. There is much to see in the city, which once welcomed Antony and Cleopatra. Broad, paved streets, the ancient façade of the Celsus Library, beautiful amphitheatre and numerous temples dedicated to the gods are waiting on you to explore them.
You can decide to go to optional tour to Ephesus or just stroll around and explore the shops of Kusadasi.
The ship departs Kusadasi at 11.00pm
Day 5: Patmos (B/L/D)
Following the breakfast and early morning sunrise yoga, about 9 am you will arrive to peaceful island Patmos. This serene island is known as the site of the apocalyptic revelations of St. John the Divine. The cave where he is said to have lived is now the site of the Monastery of the Apocalypse. You have all day to explore the Patmos.
Depart Patmos at 6pm
Day 6: Amorgos (B/L/D)
The 6th day is reserved for visiting Amorgos island. The ship sails into the port at 10 am. After early sunrise yoga session you have free time to enjoy the beauty of the island. Amorgós’ cliff-clinging monastery of Hozoviotissas has one of the most spectacular locations of any in Greece. Only a few monks live in the cavernous 50-room monastery, but the view from their terrace aerie might make you think they had all flown to heaven from this very spot.
Ship departures at 6pm
Day 7: Mykonos (B/L/D)
You will Arrive in Mykonos at 9am. Following morning sunrise yoga session, you will have free time to enjoy all beauty of this magnificent Island. One of the most cosmopolitan of all the Greek Islands, Mykonos is a contrast of rocky hills and beautiful beaches. Hora, the capital, spreads around a colourful harbour, a popular meeting place, overlooked by a variety of tavernas, in which fishing boats nestle side by side with luxury yachts.

The ship arrives at the port of Monemvasia at 12 noon. Spend your free time exploring this perfectly preserved Byzantine fortified port, once 60,000 strong, now home to just a few hundred. You can readily see why the name Monemvasia means single entrance! In the rocky hills above, ancient Byzantine ruins loom over the town, while below a maze of red tiled roofs and twisting alleys hide tavernas and cafes and the home of revered Greek poet Yannis Ritsos.
The ship departs at 6 pm.
Day 9: Athens (B/-/-)
